« J’ai travaillé avec un film de Hitchcock à nouveau, La corde, car le film est déjà une sorte de grande photo (c’est en fait un « faux » plan séquence de 1h30 dans un appartement reconstitué). En ramenant le film à une seule image, la photographie semble osciller entre la fiction et le lieu « réel », antérieur au film. L’image totale donne à voir la totalité du lieu, selon un point de vue nouveau : celui-ci coïncide en fait avec la position du mort, (caché au début du film dans une malle). De la même manière que Landschaft, la netteté se fait au fond de l’image. »

« I again worked with a film by Hitchcock, Rope, because the film is already a kind of “large photo” (in fact it’s a “false” sequence shot of 1h30 in a reproduction appartment) In reducing the film to just one image, the photography seems to oscillate between fiction and the “real” place, which, naturally, came before the film. The complete image reveals the whole space, from a new perspective: which in fact coincides with the position of the victim, (hidden at the start of the film in a trunk) In the same way as with Landschaft, the focus is at the base of the image. »
